My Medical Woes

Looking for...

I'm looking for a really pro-active lupus org. to donate some money to. Once the Relay For Life is over, I intend to make a super-duper-best-ever outfit or set of outfits which all the proceeds will go to Lupus.

However, I'm not sure who to donate to. I've asked some people in my real life for suggestions (one who is in the medical industry & should offer good suggestions). Thing is, I really want my donations (and the donations from Second Life) to go to an organization that funds mostly reasearch. For example only 10% of donations from Lupus Canada goes towards research. Not good enough for me. We need better drugs. We need less damaging treatment. We need a cure. This all comes from research.

Maybe I'm wrong? Maybe public awareness comes first... then comes the slew of research. There's so many other causes to be aware of though. Lupus so far, has not gotten the public awareness...not sure if that'll change anytime soon. Everyone I know, know's someone that *has* Lupus. About 5% of those people actually know what it is and the devistation it causes.

The people who produced this video (below) seem pretty pro-active... but who really knows. I hope my medical industry person has some good suggestions. :)

I don't get it!

Ok. So. I don't get something. I don't get, that talkative people, don't get non-talkative people. WIth me? Didn't think so! haha. But really, I'm not a talker. I never have been, I doubt I'll ever be. *If* the conversation among people is something I'm interested in, then sure, I'll throw my two cents in. But general blabbering... I just tend not to do. I'm not sure why. I like thinking? lol!

I also don't mind being alone. Sometimes, I prefer it.

I rarely get lonely. If ever.

Is this odd?

Hm. Sounds a bit wack-a-doo to me. :P
